Well, winter is coming for all the fans of the Game of Thrones as the season finally kick starts on Sunday. As if there wasn’t enough of the cold, we are now eager to get trapped in the ice beyond the Wall. But in real life we are like everyone else, glad the winter is finally over. Hubby will just have to find something else to look forward to, as he is always the first to venture out in the snow, no matter the time of the day or night. There is something that lures him to explore the unspoilt patches of white. And this Friday I share a few of his many shots. All taken somewhere in Ljubljana. Did you know that the capital of Slovenia is well known for its dragons. Digressing but Khaleesi has nothing on us… Back to winter though, actually it’s spring already and we are happy to watch everything bloom and for sun to at last have some say.
So, let’s agree that these photos should be the last time we see snow for a very long time. We are solemnly commemorating the end of one season and the beginning of another. If this was a Song of Ice and Fire, now is definitely the time for the latter, though I’d be more than happy with warmth…
“Still … in this world only winter is certain.”
